Hi evaryone, cant wait till Novermber 1st! The Amiga was a great
Games machine and still is today even on this relativly low spec
platform but the Amiga is capable of doing much more than benig
considered just another games machine. I mean why have multitasking
if it was just built to play games! makes no sense, until use use it
for Wordprocessing and image manipulation which really shows you waht
multitasking is for!. The Maiga has been blesed with great
Wordprocessors such as WordWorth and FinalWriter, also good database
programs and Music tools. Most of these have been continued over the
years like Photogenics, ImageFx, SoundFx and many others. It has even
got a good choice of Web Browsers and TCP/IP stack packages and apps
like DOpus. but the thing that bothers me in this Game washed
platform is the lack of a good range of Office software. The Amiga
lacks an intergrated ofiice suite like Micrsoft office with all
its "wonderfull" programs that can intergrate with each other and
data can be readilly passed between them with out software refusing
to recognise it Try doing that with Wordwoth and Turbo calc. I know
some of u may shout and point at AmigaWriter but this is only one
piece of the range of office software available but I know that it
would cost alot of money to creat a program like MicrosoftOffice!.
